Festively and in a great atmosphere on August 27 and 28, in Leskovac, Serbia, within the framework of the "OPPORTUNITY4YOU" project, the first cross-border Job Fair called "OPPORTUNITY4YOU DAYS" was held as the finale and "crown" of the project itself. 

This pioneer among fairs of this type drew the attention of the public as an excellent opportunity to improve cross-border mobility and employability - a benefit from the "Open Balkans" initiative.

The two-day fair was conceptualized with a Conference during the first day in which all involved parties presented the results of the project and the capacities of the IPA 2 program, through a welcoming speech byProgram Manager of the European Delegation, Mr. Konstantinos Soupilas, and the representatives of the project consortsia:

  • Mrs. Andriana Bogdanovska, from the Center for Knowledge Management as a leading partner in the project,
  • Mrs. Regina Ikonomovska, from the Development Center of the Skoski Planning Region
  • Mr. Goran Milenkovic and from the Development Center of the Jablanic-Pcinj District
  • Mr. Marinko Djordjevic, from the municipality of Vlasotince.

During the second day of the event, the Fair "OPPORTUNITY4YOU DAYS" was held, where, for the first time, job seekers met "face to face" with managers and owners of companies from the cross-border region to present their needs and take advantage of the possibility of employing suitable staff.

The fair, at which several established companies presented themselves, took place in a great atmosphere, in which visitors had the opportunity to take advantage of the open possibilities for cross-border employment, forming partnerships and networking. At this event, everyone was a winner, but mostly those who need this kind of continuous events the most, the unemployed. The mayors of the municipalities of Gjorce Petrov, Sopishte, Zelenikovo, Petrovec and Ilinden attended the fair as representatives of the local communities from the Macedonian side, and expressed their support and openness to cooperation with the sister municipalities from Serbia in the upcoming projects in the field of cross-border development.
