The Center for Knowledge Management (CKM), in collaboration with the Faculty of Computer Science and Engineering (FINKI), successfully organized the first stakeholder meeting within the framework of the UrbanFloods IPA-Adrion Project.

The meeting aimed to foster collaboration and establish a network for enhancing flood protection and prevention in North Macedonia. The event gathered representatives from national, regional, and local institutions and civil protection units. Participants actively engaged in discussions, exchanging best practices, identifying challenges, and proposing strategies to improve flood risk management.

Through a structured dialogue, stakeholders mapped out existing gaps in flood prevention and response mechanisms, navigating the way for informed decision-making and future project activities. The insights shared during this meeting will contribute to the development of evidence-based recommendations to enhance North Macedonia’s resilience to floods.

Flood risk management is a growing concern in urban areas. Through collaborative efforts and knowledge sharing, this meeting marks an important first step in the project’s implementation. Moving forward, CKM and FINKI remain committed to fostering urban resilience and supporting initiatives that strengthen disaster preparedness and response capabilities.
